One of the most comical own goals of 2020 occurred in the Europa League match between Copenhagen and Rijeka. Copenhagen player Viktor Nelson cut down an opponent in the center of the field, but the referee allowed the game to continue. He began to chase Rijeka player Franko Andrijašević, who had picked up the ball, but was stopped by teammate Ragnar Sigurdsson. Then the most interesting thing happened.
The Rijeka player ran on and shot at the goal. The ball hit the crossbar, but fortunately for him, Copenhagen player Peter Ankersen ran up to the goal. The ball ricocheted off him and flew into the goal. The goal was the only one in the match.
