A smart squirrel found its way to a bird feeder

In the American city of White Plains, one of the squirrels outwitted homeowners who installed a bird feeder in their yard. After several unsuccessful attempts, the thief found a way to deceive the system and feasted on bird food.

A resident of White Plains (Westchester County, New York, USA), who installed a bird feeder near his house during quarantine, was forced to improve the structure every day to prevent impudent squirrels from entering it.

According to the bird lover, he greased the pole with oil, moved the feeder away from the bushes, and put a protective cover on the stick to prevent insolent rodents from getting into the feeder.
“One squirrel still outwitted me. She studied all the possibilities of how to get to the food and used the only correct method at that time. Having climbed onto the roof, the cunning rodent jumped down and landed in the feeder,” the author of the video wrote in the comments.
