Valentin Lavis, a 24-year-old French biologist and independent safari guide in the Kruger Game Reserve, was in the right place at the perfect time to document a lioness's unsuccessful hunt for a female leopard.
The spotted predator, unaware of the danger awaiting it behind the hill, continued to make its way through the clearing. But at the last moment, the leopardess noticed the insidious lioness ambushing her and managed to leave the dangerous place, leaving the predatory cat far behind.
According to the author of the video, the frightened female leopard climbed a tree and did not leave her hiding place for a long time.
