Queen Anne's Revenge (176 photos)
The famous ship from Pirates of the Caribbean still haunts me. This is already its second version. Now larger and more detailed. Model scale 1:35
Model length 1250 mm. Built entirely from wooden rulers on a PVC frame. Finishing is also done with wooden rulers. Each element is processed using the brushing method, i.e. when special brushes go through the soft layers of wood, leaving the hard ones. This reveals the texture of the wood.
Almost all decorative elements are hand-carved from wood. Only the canopy covers, the steering wheel and the entablature (the semicircular finial above the stained glass window) of the stern were printed on a 3D printer. At the very end there are photographs comparing my very first model and this one - the difference is very noticeable.
Since the devil is in the details, I suggest you look at these details.
