44-year-old gorilla's reaction to small kittens

20 March 2018

A unique gorilla lives in California. She is unique in that she took part in research at Stanford University. She was given the name Coco.

As a result of her research, Coco was able to learn more than 2,000 English words. The gorilla is also capable of expressing its own emotions and has the ability to distinguish the past from the present.

The intelligence indicators of the gorilla Koko are quite comparable to those of an ordinary person at the level of 75 and 95.

Another curious phenomenon in Coco’s behavior is her sympathy for kittens, which arouse great interest in her and a desire to babysit them. For her 44th birthday, Coco received a box of little kittens as a gift.
