An amazing natural phenomenon was noticed in the Leningrad region: local residents discovered crystal snow on Lake Ladoga. Frozen lumps are the size of a rosebud and dot the entire surface of the icy pond. This phenomenon is called "suga". It appears when there are grains of ice in the water, overgrown with a snow “cap”.
