In the town of Eglinton, Northern Ireland, a girl playing on the street heard plaintive sounds coming from an open concrete well. The girl realized that there was a dog in the well, littered with boards, and immediately hurried to call her parents for help. A boxer dog was found under the boards and was taken to a veterinarian. The dog turned out to be old and blind, and, moreover, as doctors found out, it was used to give birth to offspring, establishing that it gave birth very often. It turned out that later they decided to simply get rid of the dog, so they left it to die in this well. However, the family that found her decided to take the animal for themselves; now Bella (that’s what her new owners named the dog) has a home in which she lives as an equal member of the family, surrounded by care and love.
