At the annual 10-kilometer Beach to Beacon 10K race, held in the American state of Maine, 34-year-old Robert Gomez did not take the victory, which was so close. The leader of the race was 23-year-old Jesse Orach, who was in first with a 30-second lead over Gomez. At the last turn, 50 meters before the finish, the leader received heatstroke and fell; he could have left the race, but Gomez, who ran up to him, grabbed him and literally dragged him to the finish, where he pushed him forward, thereby giving him a well-deserved victory.
