Scientists have proven that cats love people more than food.
Scientists from the University of Oregon have come to an interesting conclusion - cats love communication with people more than food.
Scientists reported this on the university website.
We conducted a special experiment: we took 50 cats - both domestic and from a shelter. For several hours, the animals were deprived of food, toys, smells and interaction with people. After that, the scientists returned all four stimuli and looked at what the cats chose first.
The results showed that 50% of the animals preferred humans. The next most popular item was food.
