Fleeing from the crocodile, the antelopes flew up almost three meters! (5 photos)
A herd of large impala antelopes that came to drink at a small muddy pond in the Kruger National Park in South Africa had no idea that danger could be lurking at the bottom of this small muddy puddle. But, unexpectedly seeing the deadly jaws of a crocodile appear above the water, the impalas demonstrated incredible miracles of agility and jumping ability, managing to literally fly into the air no worse than real birds!
A herd of impalas approaching a watering hole clearly does not suspect that a deadly reptile is lurking in a small dirty pond. Wandering across the vast South African savannas, the animals only stopped for a few minutes to drink from a pond.
But then the deadly jaws of the predator appeared from the water. The antelopes' reaction was immediate and stunning!
The frightened impalas demonstrated why they are considered one of the fastest antelopes in the world. The height of their jumps above the water was 2.5 meters! It’s especially amazing that they jump almost without a run, from a standing start!
Looking at these antelopes, you get the complete feeling that they took off, fleeing from a terrible predatory reptile. It is not surprising that, faced with such flying antelopes, the crocodile was left without breakfast this time!
