The parking lot exit master surprised the whole house

23 December 2016

It was in the evening. Back in September. I'm sitting at home getting ready for dinner. The intercom rings: “Sergey, please come down, your car has been driven into...”
I made a puzzled face and headed out onto the balcony. The signal on the key fob was silent, and the grandmother concierge was armed with very low-blind cameras - she could have made a mistake. The view of the car did not inspire fear - it was standing alone. The signal is silent. But the crowd of people nearby made me suspicious. Okay, I'm going down.

I approach - there is a nice dent on the right rear fender. "Well, where is the culprit? Did he disappear?" - “Nope! There he is in the lower parking lot.”
I'll stop here - it's better to watch the video. I warn you in advance - video quality = the quality of a cheap CCTV camera.

Chronology of events. The driver Rafik and his wife decided to go somewhere. First they reversed into my car. Then the “comrade driver” decided to get acquainted with what he had done and, without putting the automatic transmission in neutral, he got out of the car. The punishment came quickly. Toyota and his wife decided to leave him (well, for him too). The Toyota door “slammed the butt” of the Chevrolet, jumped over the curb, scared the dad with the child in his arms and “drooled” and smashed Kalina’s face. Kalina, who was peacefully dozing in the parking lot, did not expect this, jumped back and crushed her fillet on the face of 99 and Mercedes. The 99 miraculously caught the curb with its front wheels and then the “domino fall” ended - otherwise the story could have been more fun - there are further tram tracks, then an avenue.

Let's do a quick count of the victims and injured.
Number one is my Renault Megane (right rear fender)
Number two - Chevrolet Lacetti (scratches on the rear bumper. By the way, its owner never came out)
Number three - Lada Kalina (she got the most damage - front/rear bumpers, front/rear lighting, radiator, hood, left rear door, left rear fender)
Number four - Lada 99 (the glass of the left headlight, the bumper has shifted on the mounts - well, everyone has heard about the survivability of the “ninth” family)
Number five - Mercedes Sprinter (he was lucky - there was a scratch on the passenger footrest)

What was that, the inquisitive reader may ask? While we were waiting for 2 hours for the traffic police, and then another 2 hours for “registration,” the elderly guy - the Toyota driver said at most ten phrases. But his wife could not shut up her fountain of eloquence and emotions.

It seems that the “sound background” created by the wife overwhelmed the man so much that he simply “disconnected from reality.”

Conclusion - do not distract the driver from driving. We fixed all the hardware, but if the father and the child had not run across the lawn from the too independent Toyota, then this talkative aunt would have been waiting for a husband from places that are usually not renounced.
