The boss did not abandon his employee to the mercy of fate (3 photos)
Quite a touching story of one restaurant owner who could not leave an employee of his establishment in trouble. When it turned out that the girl had serious problems, the boss not only came to her aid, but also literally saved her life. Oh, if only each of us had such a boss... Read on.
Michael De Beyer owned the Kaiserhof restaurant and bar in Montgomery, Texas for 17 years. 19-year-old Britney Mathis, her sister and mother also worked there. Everything went as usual until Mathis discovered that a rash had appeared on her legs. She went to the doctor, where, after the necessary tests, she was informed that her condition was related to blood clotting disorders. Then the doctors did a tomography and told the girl a terrible diagnosis - a brain tumor.
Britney did not have insurance, so the question immediately arose of how to pay her huge medical bills. Her father died in 2000, also from a brain tumor, about which he knew nothing for a long time, and when he found out, he did not even find the money to conduct an examination and find out whether this tumor was malignant or benign.
And now the father’s story, it seemed, was inevitably going to repeat itself with his daughter. And it would have happened again if it weren’t for Britney’s employer, who sold his restaurant along with the bar and paid for the girl’s treatment.
De Beyrer earned about two million dollars for his business. The former restaurateur told reporters that since he was left idle, he intended to devote more time to his wife and children.
