Mikhail Metelkin - “the elusive avenger” Valerka Meshcheryakov.

Mikhail Metelkin, having graduated from the Faculty of Economics of VGIK, did not stay in cinema, preferring to work on television: in the Main Editorial Office of the Information Department of the APN, he worked as the director of documentaries. These films told about life in the USSR and were intended mainly for viewing abroad. However, this department was soon dispersed and all its employees were assigned to the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. Working in a new place seemed uninteresting to Metelkin, and he decided to return to cinema again. Moreover, the famous director Alexander Stolper had long suggested that he go into directing. Having passed the difference of 30 exams as an external student in 20 days, Metelkin was enrolled in the second year of the VGIK directing department. His directorial debut was the film “Frosts Happened,” in which a whole galaxy of stars starred.

Vasily Vasiliev - Yashka the Gypsy.

After filming the trilogy about The Elusive, Vasily Vasiliev no longer acted in films, although he received many offers. Having accepted the invitation of the Romen Theater, he worked in its troupe for two years. At the same time he graduated from the dramatic actor studio. Having left “Romen”, Vasily went to the Lenconcert, under whose auspices he traveled throughout the Union. He performed gypsy romances, bard songs and songs of his own composition with a guitar.
