A seductive flower grows in the forests of Central and South America. Its shape resembles the scarlet lips of a woman, which is why they came up with the name - psychotria elata or sublime Psychotria. But there is something else, more mundane - Whore sponges.

Psychotria (lat. Psychotria) is a genus of plants in the Rubiaceae family. Representatives of the genus are small trees growing in tropical forests.

Psychotria sublime is one of approximately 100 species of psychotria found in Central America.

This unusual plant is native to the tropical forests of Central and South America and is known in countries such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador.

The plant acquired this form by evolving in order to attract more pollinators, hummingbirds and butterflies with its appearance.

The fruits of the tree are bright blue, like many other species of the genus Psychotria.

The red bracts are indeed quite attractive, especially to butterflies and hummingbirds.

This wonderful flower is endangered due to uncontrolled deforestation.

Therefore, if you want to kiss Mother Nature, then you can still have time by finding a tempting scarlet plant in the South American forests.
