A cross-eyed hooligan: in Hungary, a hare hit a scooter rider in mid-air
The Hungarian town of Százhalombatta, located near Budapest, was the scene of an unusual road accident. Local resident Dániel Kovács, riding an electric scooter, collided with a hare that suddenly darted out onto the road.
According to the victim, he was traveling at about 35 kilometers per hour at the time of the collision.
"We collided when it was level with my head. I was holding the handlebars, but I let go when I hit the ground. I was simply amazed that such a thing was even possible," Kovács said.
The published footage shows the long-eared animal sprinting across the road and leaping straight into the young man's face. Thanks to his protective helmet and safety gear, the man escaped with only bruises and scratches from his fall. The hare quickly got back to his feet and sped back into the field.
