Caring people helped a tawny owl become a mother. They waited until the bird flew off to hunt and carefully replaced her empty eggs with orphaned chicks. Upon returning, the tawny owl didn't suspect the switch and accepted the orphans as her own.
None of the birds would have hatched from their own eggs.
