Spiders took over the sky in certain areas of Brazil
Every year, from December to March, large groups of spiders spin webs that stretch across the sky in rural Brazil.

The footage that has circulated on the Internet was taken in Sao Tome das Letra, Minas Gerais state. It shows spiders mating in a "ritual orgy," the publication quotes scientist Kyron Passos as saying.
"It's a spider orgy. Females have something called a spermatheca, where they store sperm from different males to fertilize eggs," he explained.
After the eggs are fertilized, the females continue to collect sperm for later use, the article says. Although spiders do not usually live together, some of them exhibit more "social behavior"
