In the West, gifts from "secret Santa" are very popular - this is a game in which participants exchange small presents for Christmas and New Year. Often, such an exchange of surprises is arranged at work. At the same time, the one who receives the gift does not know who his Santa is, and can only guess about it. The game is interesting because the giver can show a lot of imagination and surprise a colleague. However, sometimes there are surprises with a minus sign.

For example, an employee of one of the American companies was unlucky: the girl received a gift that was not at all what she expected. The box from the "secret Santa" contained worn socks, expired chocolate, bottles of opened nail polish and used lip balm.



The socks were heavily scented with perfume, but this did not help to kill their musty smell.





And judging by the label on the box of chocolates, their expiration date expired in 2020, so the girl did not even try this chocolate.



Upset by the gift, she contacted the HR department of her company with a request to identify her "secret Santa". There they launched a real investigation, and the victim told about this incident on social networks. Apparently, so that others would not particularly hope for good gifts and be on their guard.

Some commentators suggested that the giver could have been experiencing financial difficulties, so he put together a present literally from what he found. Other Internet users supported the indignation of the British woman, saying that it would be better not to give anything than to embarrass herself like that. The girl herself noted that she would be happy to receive a regular chocolate bar instead of this gift, only fresh.
