The girl brought a dog from a trip to Bolivia and now travels with the dog in a camper.
Krista was traveling with friends in Bolivia when she noticed a dog running behind the car during one of the taxi rides. The dog was weaving through the streets to keep up with the car.
“He kept following us,” says Krista. Then the girl asked to stop the car.
Krista began to take care of the stray dog. She named him Chase and took the dog on a trip around the country with her and her friends. “I had a deep connection with him from the very beginning,” she says.
When it was time to leave, Krista didn’t want to part with Chase, but she knew that picking him up wouldn’t be easy: it would require a lot of paperwork. She found a temporary home for the dog at a Bolivian shelter for homeless dogs and promised to return for him. She kept her promise seven months later.
“When I saw Chase again, it was amazing,” Krista says. “He remembered me, and we were so happy.”
Krista and Chase sent their girlfriend back to the United States. Now they're traveling around the country together in an RV.
"I can't imagine a more perfect partner and travel companion," says Krista. "I could travel to the farthest corner of the planet with my best friend by my side."
