We had to take down our Halloween decorations because they were annoying the neighbors. People need to grow up! (9 photos)
Liverpool resident Caroline Ashley had prepared thoroughly for the darkest holiday: she decorated her porch with pumpkins, placed plastic tombstones on the lawn, and hung life-size props on a tree. But instead of decor, her neighbor saw corpses in bags and complained to the authorities.
Ashley was surprised when a city council worker knocked on the door and demanded that the "offensive" elements be removed.
Caroline Ashley forced to remove Halloween decorations
Caroline was forced to remove the decorations because the tree is on the council property. The next day, an officer checked to see if she had complied.
The dismayed mum-of-two said: "I've always loved Halloween and have been decorating my house for six years. I don't mean to offend anyone - that was not my intention. They were just decorations. The neighbour must have been very upset. Our council has never responded so quickly to an appeal."
Earlier, the British woman posted photos of her exhibit on social media, asking: "Aren't there too many body bags?"
The post became popular, gaining almost 4,000 likes.
