The cute baby's image has changed so much that it can now be used to scare passersby. 
A sign on the roof of a store in Shiga Prefecture depicting a baby suddenly began to attract people's attention after the ink melted due to high temperatures. It spread, and as a result, the cute baby's face began to look sinister - just like a nightmare from a horror movie.

Over time, the rest of the face faded, leaving only the eyes.

The owner of the shop, Masanao Itaya, initially wanted to take down the sign immediately, but then decided to wait. In its new guise, it began to attract more visitors than before. However, the Japanese are known perverts, so there is nothing surprising in this situation.
