The natural disaster has already killed 5 people.
"Boris" has arrived in Europe. That was the name of the cyclone that has properly flooded Moldova, Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany.
Poland has seen three months' worth of precipitation in two days. In the south of the country, rivers have overflowed their banks and flooded villages and local towns. People are being evacuated by rescuers, police and the military. One person has died.
63 thousand houses were flooded in the Czech Republic. Such a tsugunder has never been seen there before - in some areas, traffic stopped and electricity was cut off.
Four people have already died due to flooding in Romania. Local emergency services said that the country had suffered the heaviest rainfall in the last 100 years.
Austria also got it - six rivers overflowed their banks and civil alarm was declared in some districts. And local authorities have warned residents of southern Germany of possible evacuation.
The cyclone is moving north, northeast, will stay in Eastern Europe for some time, and then return to the west. Such a situation usually leads to heavy rains of catastrophic proportions, forecasters say, and warn of the risk of tornadoes.
The elements do not want to calm down yet and will "wet" Europe until tomorrow.
