Robbers dressed up as police officers and robbed a jewelry store
The moment of the armed robbery at the Franco jewelry store, located in the San Jose Plaza shopping center, in the city of Bucaramanga (Santander department, Colombia) on July 23 was recorded by a video camera installed in the store.
Eyewitnesses reported that the criminal operation was fast and well-coordinated. Local police have launched an investigation to arrest the armed criminals, dressed in police uniforms and uniforms of employees of the courier company Servientrega.
No one was hurt in the robbery. The criminals stole cash and jewelry worth 500 million Colombian pesos (about 100 thousand dollars).
The police chief later said that several of the perpetrators were identified from the video recording and that all members of the criminal group who committed the daring robbery will be caught soon.
