How do dogs drink water?

Dogs cannot absorb liquids like we do. This is partly due to their cheeks, and partly to the shape of their mouth. Dogs have another way of drinking water. Some people think that dogs lick water and curl their tongue forward when they drink. However, dogs do the exact opposite!
