Firefighters who came to extinguish the fire inhaled it so much that they had to be hospitalized.
Yesterday in Los Angeles there was a fire in one of the commercial buildings on Newton Street. The flames quickly engulfed the entire structure, and a cloud of strange and smelly smoke rose into the air.
Emergency workers arrived and rushed to put out the flames, but soon began to complain of weakness and dizziness. Five firefighters fainted and were taken to the hospital. Eyewitnesses to the fire sniffed the smoke and said that they understood why rescuers began to feel overwhelmed - a warehouse with marijuana was burning.
This guess was confirmed: cannabis had been illegally grown and stored in the building for several years. It caught fire due to someone's carelessness. Or maybe the competitors got involved and started the arson.
When the building was extinguished, they began to look for the dead employees of the illegal farm, but found no one. Everyone managed to escape before the rescuers arrived. And the five firefighters who had inhaled smoke had already recovered from their involuntary high and returned to work.
