This spring, the Jaguar C-X75 supercar will be offered for sale in the UK - one of five built specifically for the filming of the film "007: Specter" with Daniel Craig as James Bond. The car does not yet have legal status, as it is, in fact, a homemade product. However, the seller, Kaaimans International, assures that the coupe is already being prepared for certification for public roads. Of course, this can make the car significantly more expensive.

To film scenes in which one of the anti-heroes was driving a Jaguar C-X75, seven cars were used at once. Two of them were original Jaguar gas-electric prototypes. Since the company was very careful about its samples, they were used only for static and interior photography. For stunts and other challenging scenes, Williams Advanced Engineering built five stunt doubles on custom chassis with a much simpler design.

The copy supercars were equipped with a standard V8 from the Range Rover Sport SVR producing 550 horsepower. They received simplified interiors and body panels made from more affordable materials, unlike the carbon fiber used on the original C-X75, as well as more durable suspensions. It is generally accepted that one car did not survive the filming process, and the remaining four were sold to collectors - Bond fans.

One of these machines will be prepared for normal use. According to the sellers, the car will receive improved electrics, full mirrors, optics and instruments, new body panels, more comfortable seats and a spacious fuel tank. In addition, the supercar's power unit will be brought into compliance with environmental standards, which is necessary for certification. Once approval is received, the legalized supercar will be put up for sale.

According to preliminary estimates, all legalization work will cost approximately a million pounds. It is possible that the seller is overly optimistic about the market prospects of the supercar. In 2019, they tried to sell one of the stunt cars at an auction at RM Sotheby’s at an expected price of 800 thousand to 1.2 million dollars, but there was no buyer.
