The cat befriended an orphaned rhinoceros and took him into custody (3 photos + 1 video)
Poachers killed a rhino's mother, and a cat is helping her cope with the loss.
Little Jamila became an orphan because of poachers: they killed her mother. Fortunately, the cub was discovered in time by employees of the rehabilitation center The Rhino Orphanage (South Africa) and took her to their place.
At the shelter, Jamila had to be bottle-fed and monitored around the clock. It was very difficult for Jamila to cope with the loss of her mother; she was constantly sad. But help came from where no one expected it: a cat took custody of the baby.
This red-haired beauty Mewie has been living in the shelter for a long time, and she is very familiar with all the charges. But for some reason she especially liked Jamila. They began to sleep, dine and play together. Despite the difference in size, the furry friend accompanied the rhino everywhere.
Mui helped Jamila feel safe. However, this friendship will not last forever, because when Jamila grows up, she will be released into the wild, where the baby will have to learn to live with other rhinoceroses. So in such cases, park employees have only one thing left to do: watch and enjoy how friends spend time together, sleep, play and hide from each other in the grass.
