Russian invaders who committed war crimes against prisoners and civilians in the occupied part of Donbass have been identified.
It was possible to establish war crimes thanks to intercepted conversations of the occupiers located in the temporarily occupied territory of Donbass.
The SBU intercepted a telephone interview of a Russian occupier with a military correspondent from Bashkotorstan. It was given by an invader with the call sign "Rafael", who serves in the 3rd battalion named after Marat Safin (7th company, 36th regiment of the 25th Army of the Russian Armed Forces, military unit 12274).
Propagandist Guzel Kudasheva works for the newspaper Aurgazinsky Vestnik. She regularly collects materials for articles about her compatriots fighting in the war in Ukraine.
“Our Bashkir boys got drunk, caught a woman in the city, raped her, killed her and burned her corpse,” the Rashi man said about the activities of his battalion.
The journalist asked for details and learned that there were four rapists and that the Russian command turns a blind eye to such cases of violence.
Rashist continues to share the “exploits” of Bashkir fighters, in particular, how they torture and rape prisoners of war. But the “military correspondent” asks her not to retell this story - the details are too terrible.
She regularly publishes the “most interesting” events from the life of the unit in the local newspaper, as well as on her VKontakte page. But there is not a word about the war crimes of the Russians, only about their supposedly heroic “exploits”.
The SBU has already opened the appropriate criminal proceedings, carefully documents these crimes, identifies those involved and takes comprehensive measures to ensure that they answer for what they have committed.
