Sometimes life can be much scarier than any horror movie. 
A terrible incident occurred in Velikiye Luki in the Pskov region. A single mother who gave birth to five children from different men starved three of them to death and lived with their corpses for three months. She did not tell anyone about the death of her children, for fear of losing child benefits from the state.
The eldest 12-year-old son lived with his grandmother, so he asked the pensioner to go with him to his mother and visit his brothers and sisters. The mother did not allow any of the relatives into the rented apartment under various pretexts, but, according to the neighbors, drinking parties with local outcasts often took place there. Drug addicts often stopped by as well. 
The dysfunctional family was registered with the PDN, but two years ago they stopped monitoring them, as the woman began to improve. But it didn't last long.
The eldest son secretly entered the apartment, where he discovered the mummified bodies of two children in the children's room. A one-year-old boy and his 4-year-old brother were lying on the bed, covered with blankets. The mother stated that the children died back in August, in their sleep, a week apart.
The body of an 8-year-old girl was found in a private house, which the unfortunate mother bought with maternity capital in the summer. The family lived there until their daughter could not, then they moved to a rented apartment, where two boys died.
Only a 5-year-old girl survived, and doctors are currently working with her. All this time the child lived in the same room with the bodies of his brothers.
During the interrogation, the woman gave contradictory testimony, at first she claimed that the children all died in their sleep, then she stated that she did not feed them on purpose, since there was no money. The children did not go to kindergarten or school, except for the eldest boy who lived with his grandmother.
