An American engineered the death of her lover because of an inheritance that did not exist (6 photos)
Remember, at one time there was a very popular spam mailing with a notification from a foreign lawyer that the foreign billionaire Mr. Smith (Johnson, Williams, options are possible) left a fabulous inheritance? It’s true, but you have to pay a fee to receive it – a couple of hundred (thousands) dollars. It turns out that this scheme is still being worked on.
Unfortunately, with consequences, the cause of which are banal human vices - greed, betrayal and unscrupulousness.
Nigerian letters - they are still being sent out
The couple Ina Thea Kenoyer and Stephen Edward Riley from North Dakota lived a quiet and relatively happy life. The people are mature (47 years old and 51 years old, respectively), the stormy emotional swings are left behind.
This is how they would have lived if the man had not received a message about a fabulous inheritance in the amount of $30 million. On September 3, Stephen went to meet with a lawyer at the airport, where the heir had to sign the necessary papers. And pay some amount for legal services.
Seems like a happy couple
Anticipating a big jackpot that would completely change his life, Riley shared the news with his family (the man has five sons). And at the same time he said that he was going to leave the annoying Ina and get a younger and prettier girl.
When he arrived at the meeting place, he felt ill. He didn't wait for a lawyer. Later, the investigation found out that there was no lawyer or testator, and the emails were sent from somewhere in Nigeria. Stephen returned home in poor condition.

But the cohabitant called the hospital only the next day, when the man had already fallen into a coma. Kenoyer told doctors that he had suffered heatstroke. The next day the victim died in the hospital ward. An autopsy showed the presence of ethylene glycol in the body - a component of antifreeze, which, according to investigators, was used by the lady to poison her partner before going to collect the check.
The search yielded results: a container was found in the garage, as well as a mug and a beer bottle with antifreeze residue.
The victim's 21-year-old son, Ryan, told police that he knew about his father's plans to break up with his partner. And it was the right decision - the woman did not work, did not take care of the house. The father wanted to spend the millions he received on opening his own business - a car repair shop and buying land for his children.
During interrogation, the woman stated that she plans to share the inheritance with her sons. But Ina did not take into account that the legislation of the state, like the vast majority of the world, does not recognize an unregistered marriage with all the ensuing rights and obligations.
The failed heiress of a failed millionaire, who has been charged with capital murder, is behind bars. If proven guilty, she has every chance of remaining there forever without the right to parole.
Betrayal and greed are terrible things. Especially when acting simultaneously.
