What lengths is a woman willing to go for for love? Everything and even more.

In the 70s, the name of this woman did not leave the pages of British newspapers. Of course: a pretty blonde crossed the Atlantic to get the object of her desire and achieve her goal.

Joyce in his youth

Men are hunters by nature. This is their essence. But Joyce McKinley proved by her example that girls are capable of tracking prey no worse, and sometimes even better.

Joyce was born in the late summer of 1950 in Minneapolis and was raised in a strict religious family. Studying, helping around the house, obligatory prayer at the end of the day. No drinking and especially no drugs. A Christian summer camp also appeared on the grown girl’s schedule.

But, apparently, asceticism played a role. Growing up, Joyce began to show interest in boys, ahead of her less mature peers in this.

New home and first love

With parents

After graduating from university, Joyce met representatives of the Mormon community and decided that such a quiet abode of faith was very suitable for her. In 1975, the girl met Kirk Anderson, an attractive young blond man who would become her angel and punishment.

The couple began a whirlwind romance, but the chosen one was bound by vows - the future missionary was prohibited from carnal relations. And under pressure from his confessor and the church, the guy broke off relations with his beloved.

The saddened girl went to Hollywood in an attempt to heal her emotional wounds by building a career in show business.

The plan and the accomplice

Gorgeous. Joyce even won the 1973 Miss Wyoming beauty pageant.

A couple of years later, Joyce received a hefty insurance policy of $15,000 after a car accident and decided that she had enough money to rescue her lover from the Mormon network.

The girl’s plan was as simple as a stool: to show Kirk such sex that the guy would become her slave forever. But to master practical skills, it was necessary to study. Joyce bought a mountain of books and pornographic magazines and advertised in the newspaper: “I am looking for a physically strong, proactive and reliable partner for a romantic adventure.” Aspiring architect Keith May responded to this.

The beginning of the adventure

The woman explained to her assistant the essence of the matter: to snatch her lover from the tenacious clutches of the church, save him and live happily ever after. Unsuspecting Anderson was working at this time as a missionary at the Christian church in Evel.

On September 14, 1977, accomplices armed themselves with a toy gun and went to save the guy. At gunpoint, May forced Anderson into the car, where Joyce, in disguise, was waiting for them. She briefly outlined the plan to the kidnapping victim: escape and eternal love.

The guy didn’t have much choice: he didn’t know that the weapon was a fake. They put Kirk in the back seat and brought him to some garage.

Slave of love

The young man was placed in the bedroom, fed and tied to the bed with a long leather belt. It didn’t interfere with movement, but it was impossible to leave the room.

Joyce said she needed a child as security. And over the next three days she indulged in violent love with an attached prisoner in order to achieve her goal.

The heroine of not my novel

Joyce after arrest

Kirk managed to escape, and the failed couple sorted out their relationship in court. To the amusement of the respectable public, since the high-profile case attracted the attention of the press and public. And through Joyce’s efforts, the meetings became like performances.

The judges' ears were swollen from the flow of Joyce's declarations of love for the humble missionary. For the sake of her lover, she was ready to climb Everest and bring a mountain violet in her teeth.

She didn’t do anything bad to the guy, and she couldn’t – she weighs half as much and is no different in physical strength. As for the belts, Joyce is simply a tigress in bed and was afraid that her lover would run away before she received complete satisfaction.

Jois became a star. Bags of letters from men were carried into her cell with calls: “Kidnap me!” and indicating not only the exact address, but also a detailed directions.

Kate and Joyce

The show lasted two weeks. Joyce and Keith were facing punishment for kidnapping and unlawful detainment. As for rape, it was not included in the list of charges. Because there was simply no such article as rape of a man by a woman in British legislation.

The criminal couple was released on bail. And before the verdict, Kate and Joyce, disguised as nuns and merging with the troupe of the theater of the deaf and dumb, traveled to Ireland using fake passports. And then they went through Canada to the States.

A few years later, the stubborn lady was arrested in the Salt Lake City area, where the object of her passion was giving sermons. A chain with handcuffs was found in the woman's car. Joyce was given a final warning, threatening that she could sit down for a long time.

"Tabloid"

In the movie "Tabloid"

Director Errol Morris turned to the story of the sexual maniac in 2010 and made the documentary Tabloid. Kirk Anderson categorically refused the meeting. He is married, has children and does not want to return to those crazy days that made him a celebrity against his will.

But Joyce responded with pleasure. The woman said that her missionary still definitely loves her. The poor thing’s family didn’t work out...

Who really was Joyce - a half-mad sexual terrorist or a woman madly in love, ready to do anything for the sake of feelings? Everyone sees the answer to this question in their own way.
