A house collapsed into the Mendenhall River in Juneau, Alaska's capital, due to erosion amid severe flooding. Which, in turn, is due to the melting of the glacier.
City officials say the glacier is melting faster due to rising temperatures and could shrink significantly by 2050, leading to even more intense flooding in the region. So these waterfront mansions didn't last long.
