Submechanophobia is the fear of artificial objects that partially or completely submerged in water. This disorder is dedicated subreddit of the same name. It's full of sunken ships, flooded mines and other objects from which goosebumps run down the skin.

Penny Pink is one of those who suffers from submechanophobia. "I I've come to terms with the fact that it's just one of my quirks," she explains, "I I don't spend much time in the water, let alone the ocean, so my the phobia does not affect daily life. I still enjoy nature but on vacation I definitely won’t dive into sunken ships.”
