How do gypsies celebrate Easter?
Easter among the gypsies ("Patradi") is perhaps the main holiday, and its traditions do not differ from those familiar to the Orthodox. Easter cakes are also baked, eggs are painted, but on what scale!
The bigger, the better. Under this motto, the gypsies are preparing for Easter. Easter cakes are baked in buckets, hundreds of eggs are dyed.
On a holiday, it is customary to go around neighbors and give pieces of Easter cake and eggs to everyone you know, and every first one in the camp. Yes, and the feasts of the gypsies are crowded. The main thing in them is that the table is bursting with dishes.
The Gypsies do not clean the Easter table for three days - all this time they receive guests and go to visit themselves. After the festivities, the camp returns to its former life.
And you, friends, baked Easter cakes?
