The editors of Glamor magazine made an interesting fashion-historical project, which clearly showed how in a century children's fashion in the United States was changing. I wonder how parents let their children to walk in shorts even in winter?
1910s
The boys of that time wore knee-length shorts with long woolen socks all year round, and full-fledged trousers began to be worn only with adolescence. Also a distinctive feature of children's fashion that time is the wearing of sailors with T-shirts under them, which created the illusion of a shirt.
1920s
In the 20s, wool blazers, which were considered clothing for cricket and tennis have become everyday wear for boys. It is wool preferred, since the fabric of this material required less product care.

For the first time ever, boys' Converse-type sneakers have become wear outside the gyms, making them everyday shoes. Baggy sweatshirts and bleached jeans are the coolest clothes of the time for cyclists and skaters.

The grunge style prevailed not only in adult clothing, but also penetrated tightly into children's fashion.
2000s
The main feature of the 00s was checkered shirts with short sleeves. Also incredibly popular were Heelies roller skates with a wheel, built into the heel - it was so cool that the owners of such crosses were the area's top fashionistas.
2010s
Children's fashion has become completely mirrored in adult fashion. Generally, parents and children preferred comfortable fabrics and models, and on jeans were replaced by trousers tapering to the bottom and planted at the bottom on gum.
