Police officer rescued another lover of walking on thin ice
Even the schoolchildren who filmed this video understood that it was dangerous to go out on the ice.
The day off for a National Guard soldier walking with his pregnant wife was completely ruined by another eccentric who decided to try his luck on the thin ice of the reservoir. A man with a stick went out to the middle of the pond, apparently to drive ducks, but did not take into account that in the spring this is fraught with unpleasant consequences. And they did not keep themselves waiting. The ice cracked under him and he went under the water like a soldier. Clinging his hands to the edge of the ice, the drowning man began to heart-rendingly call for help.
Fortunately for the imprudent man, Senior Police Sergeant Ilya Klopot was nearby. The National Guard crawled to the drowning man and on the second attempt was able to grab him by the collar and pull him out of the hole. It is known that the victim refused to wait for an ambulance and left without even introducing himself.
It is noteworthy that even the schoolchildren who filmed the video were well aware that now the man would fail.
Recall that on March 18, the St. Petersburg policeman, who pulled out the same thrill-seeker from the Neva, was awarded the departmental medal "For Courage in the Name of Salvation." Whether Ilya Klopot will be awarded is unknown.
