Locals collect fish as much as they can take away.
On Sakhalin, there is a rush of fish: herring came ashore to spawn, and there are so many fish that the water "boils"! As a rule, large shoals come to the island in April, but this spring is early, so the herring was noticed near the village of Yablochnoe much earlier than usual.
The locals armed themselves with nets and went to fish.
However, Sakhalin residents say that if there is no net, then with such spawning, fish can be caught even with a bag, and especially diligent people contrive to do this with their bare hands.
