In Sevastopol, citizens walking around the city noticed several men throwing dolphins into the sea. In the car, the dolphins were without water; they did not feel well in shallow water. In addition, these are trained dolphins from the local dolphinarium and cannot survive in the wild. The owner of the dolphinarium said that he had no money to keep dolphins.

Eyewitnesses filmed the men throwing the dolphins into the sea. As it turned out, the local dolphinarium decided to get rid of its artists.

The director of the Flipper dolphinarium, Vladimir Kalnibolotsky, said that he had no money to keep dolphins. According to him, 20-30 million rubles were needed to keep the dolphins until the next season, which he did not have. Instead of selling the animals, the trainer (with a 40-year-old guardian) decided to simply throw them into the sea. The man suggested that a prison awaits him, but says, "the zone will be respected."

In total, four dolphins were thrown into the sea: two females, one of which is presumably pregnant, and two males.

Trained dolphins will not survive in the wild. Early in the morning, two dolphins swam in shallow water to people. The other two are unknown. The surviving dolphins are planned to be caught and sent to another dolphinarium.

The former scientific director of the Sevastopol Dolphinarium said that the search for two missing dolphins is now underway.

"It's impossible. They disappeared into the open sea. The trainer is not a magician, he works with dolphins with the help of a whistle and gestures. Then each dolphin you meet must bow, make gestures and blow this whistle. I think it's impossible. They may recognize him by a whistle, for example, but how does he recognize them, ”he said.

The search continues. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sevastopol opened a criminal case on the fact of cruelty to animals. Kalnibolotsky turned out to be right, a prison awaits him. Volunteers and employees of other dolphinariums are involved in the search.
