The Russian space cargo ship Progress MS crashed. The debris presumably fell on the territory of Tuva. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to a source in the region’s law enforcement agencies.
According to him, information about the possible area where Progress debris fell came from eyewitnesses, and is now being verified.
A similar accident with a launch vehicle, which led to the fall of a Progress M-12M truck, occurred on August 24, 2011 during operation of the third stage.
Later, Roscosmos confirmed to Interfax that Progress was lost at an altitude of about 190 km above Tuva.
“According to preliminary information, as a result of an emergency situation, the loss of THC occurred at an altitude of about 190 km above the inaccessible, deserted mountainous territory of the Republic of Tuva, and most of the fragments burned up in dense layers of the atmosphere,” Roscosmos said in a statement.
It is despairing that the Russian state commission is conducting an analysis of the current emergency situation.
The Soyuz-U launch vehicle with a truck of the new Progress MS-04 series launched from Baikonur to the International Space Station today, at 16.52 Kiev time. The ship was supposed to deliver about 2.5 tons of cargo to the ISS, including fuel, water and refueling systems. According to Roscosmos, during the launch of Progress, telemetry disappeared from 383 seconds into the flight.
Patriots write on social networks that a Russian spaceship was shot down by a Ukrainian missile launched today during an exercise from the territory of the Kherson region. Turchynov specially planned missile exercises on the day of the Progress launch and proved that the missile systems that were being tested could reliably hit air targets... That is, at a precisely planned time and in a precisely planned place, to respond to any occupation-terrorist aggression of the Russian Federation.
