In this short note we will talk about Soviet retrofuturism. Soviet retrofuturism is a huge movement in which not only Soviet science fiction writers contributed, but also scientists who implemented many projects. You have probably already noticed that on our website there are many articles about the period of the USSR. Well, who is to blame that it was during this period that our country declared itself to the whole world. Despite the fact that I lived in the USSR at a not entirely conscious age, and our country collapsed when I was only 4 years old, I still miss this period. Maybe not everything was so rosy behind the Iron Curtain, but the position that everyone is equal is very close to me. I don’t know about you, but if I were offered to go back in time, I would agree without hesitation. Back to free education and medicine, back to dreams of a great country, back to the US fear of the USSR, back to flying to the stars. And sneeze that you can’t fly to Italy for shopping and to a restaurant in France, that there are no clothes with a price tag with five zeros, there is no McDonald’s and Coca-Cola. But you can develop mentally, create, explore, live in a huge community and be more friendly and open. After all, these are great values compared to the current ones: having an iPhone and a premium car.
