BULLETPROOF STEEL HELMET
With the outbreak of World War I, the bulletproof helmet appeared. This is due to the so-called trench warfare. The heads of soldiers in the trenches became easy targets. Such a helmet did not protect against a rifle bullet, but it did protect against shrapnel and shrapnel. The first such helmets appeared among the British, then among the French (Adrian's helmet).
