Why do celebrities wear shoes one size larger? (57 photos)
I think some people have noticed the fact that some stars appear on the red carpet in shoes that are a size too big. What is this connected with? Let's figure it out together. As many insiders suggest, there are a number of reasons for this:
The first of them is the most banal - celebrities are afraid that shoes that are too big can rub their celebrity feet. And at some important events you have to stand for hours :)
The second reason is that choosing shoes a size larger visually reduces your own size. As you know, many stars have far from miniature feet.

There is another more prosaic reason: in Hollywood there is a shortage of shoes in small sizes, and the poor unfortunate stars, having spent several minutes of their precious time looking for shoes and completely despairing of finding them, replenish their wardrobe bursting at the seams with two thousand and a third pair of the size that presented in a store or, more likely, simply displayed in a window. And, really, by God, you can’t walk barefoot!

Fourth reason: In high-heeled shoes and on a steep climb, your foot, whether you like it or not, slides towards the toe of the shoe. But for some reason the stars don’t use special insoles, or even the old, time-tested method with cotton wool or a paper napkin.

Fifth reason: It is possible that stars do not buy their Jimmy Choo and Louboutin in stores, but rent them in designer showrooms, most often just for rent. This is where things are taken for magazine photo shoots, and the models, as you understand, are tall girls and not exactly Cinderellas; naturally, large-sized shoes predominate in showrooms.

Before the event, the Celebrity Stylist selects several options, which they then discuss with the client and decide what to wear. And since sizes 37-38 are the most popular among girls, only Gulliver’s pumps remain on store shelves. And if the actress really liked this particular pair of shoes to go with her dress, then she will take a large size!
Kate Bosworth
Sixth reason: hierarchy or celebrity status. As you know, a talented stylist (let’s remember, for example, Rachel Zoe and her many clients) has several clients; the best ones go first of all to the more famous ones. Both dresses and shoes.
Lea Michele
If you see, for example, Lea Michele in a somewhat strange dress from Marchesa, this does not mean that they came to her first with this dress. She probably got the dress after it was offered to other actresses, and everyone refused. No, this is, of course, a good, expensive dress from a designer, but not the best. Likewise, when you see a celebrity wearing long walkers on the red carpet, it's a case of "what's left is what's left!"

However, there is another theory floating around the blogosphere - that representatives of fashion houses sometimes don’t bother too much and send out one size to all fashionistas, and even at the last moment, when it is no longer possible to replace a pair.
Cameron Diaz
Well, in the end, these shoes are simply given to celebrities, and as you know, you don’t look a gift horse in the mouth :) Walking in such shoes, of course, is not easy. For example, at the premiere of “Eclipse,” the star of the “Twilight” saga, Kristen Stewart, wearing Christian Louboutin shoes, constantly looked at her feet and held the elbows of her co-stars.
these are the same ill-fated Louboutins
Last year, Jennifer Lopez almost broke her limbs by wearing free Louboutins a size too big: she couldn’t stay on her feet and almost fell, fortunately, assistants came to her aid.
And here is my personal selection of stars who are fond of wearing walking shoes :)
