The metropolitan area consists of 20 cities and 100 towns in Germany's west, connected by about 20 metro tram lines, 12 S-Bahn lines and several regional express lines. The photos below are ordered by cities, starting in Bochum in the northwest, via Essen, Duisburg, Dьsseldorf, Wuppertal, to Bonn in the south.
